Mohammed Shami and Wriddhiman Saha enters into record books on Day 3 of Antigua Test (West Indies vs India Test Series 2016)

On Day 3 of the First Test between India and West Indies at Antigua, Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami and wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha entered their names into the record books.

Here are the records created by Mohammed Shami and Wriddhiman Saha:

1.) Wriddhiman Saha is the third Indian wicketkeeper to effect six dismissals in a Test innings joining Syed Kirmani (vs New Zealand at Christchurch in February 1976) and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (vs New Zealand at Wellington in April 2009).

2.) Saha is the first wicketkeeper to effect six dismissals in a Test innings in the Caribbean.

3.) Saha is the first Indian wicket-keeper to be associated in the dismissals of the top five batsmen in a Test innings.

4.) Mohammed Shami (4/66) registered his best bowling figures against West Indies in Tests at Antigua, obliterating 4/71 at Kolkata in November 2013.

5.) Shami took 13 Tests to claim 50 wickets and is now the joint-quickest Indian fast bowler do so along with Venkatesh Prasad.
