Australia bowled out for their lowest total against Sri Lanka after Rangana Herath’s hat-trick

On Day 2 of the ongoing Test between Sri Lanka and Australia at Galle, the Aussies were bundled out for 106 runs in their 1st innings, which is also their lowest score against the Sri Lankans in Test cricket.

Rangana Herath picked up his maiden hat-trick by dismissing Adam Voges, Peter Nevill and Mitchell Starc on successive balls in the 25th over of Australian innings.

Herath finished his bowling figures for 4/35 at the end of 1st innings.

1.) He has now become the second Sri Lankan bowler after Nuwan Zoysa to claim a hat-trick in Test matches. Zoysa did so against the Zimbabwean team in 1999.

2.) He is also the oldest player (38 Years, 139 Days) to take a Test Hat-trick.
