Cricket fraternity lauds PV Sindhu for becoming first women to win a silver medal for India in the Olympics

On Friday, Badminton player PV Sindhu created history by becoming the first Indian woman to win individual Olympic silver medal. The 21-year-old is also the youngest Indian player to achieve this feat.


Sindhu lost in the finals against the World no. 1 Carolina Marín in a fighting encounter by 21-19, 12-21, 15-21.

Cricket fraternity took on their Twitter handle to praise the Indian ‘Golden Girl’ who created history at the Rio Olympics.
