Is it fair to troll Mayanti Langer for Stuart Binny’s failure?

Team India’s all-rounder Stuart Binny showed his bowling skills in the 1st T20I against West Indies at Florida.

Binny conceded 5 sixes with 32 runs in total during his one over spell and it became one of the the biggest reasons for the loss of the Indian Team in the only decider game of the series.

After his performance, Twitter not only trolled the right-hander but also took a dig at his wife Mayanti Langer as well.

It’s not the first time that the Twitteratis’ have reacted to Binny’s poor performances on the field, they have been making fun of Binny and his journalist wife on regular basis.

Here are some tweets after Binny’s performances from the current tour and from the past :

Now, the question arises,

Is it fair to troll Mayanti Langer for Stuart Binny’s failure ?

Stuart Binny has failed to performed well for Team India whenever the selectors have given him a chance. His selection in the team for any International format is a topic of discussion among fans. Therefore, trolling him isn’t a bad idea. But, is it okay for the Twitteratis’ to troll Mayanti Langer for this?

Mayanti Langer is a famous sports journalist and she is doing her job quite well but is still trolled because of her husband.

The above trolls contains smell of hypocrisy. We do not have any right to comment on someone’s personal life. It was her own wish to marry Stuart Binny and we don’t have any right to comment on the same.

It was not Mayanti, who conceded five sixes in a row but it was Stuart Binny. Therefore, the trollers should respect at least the family members of the cricketers and if they have to troll someone it should be the poor performance of the player and not his personal life.
