BCCI is likely to send a short squad with MS Dhoni to lead Indian side in the upcoming two-match T20I series to be played in the USA. Young pacer Jasprit Bumrah is expected to fly along with the Indian skipper.
Out of 17 member squad which is in West Indies for the Test match series, six players are likely to come back home. Indian top order M Vijay, Cheteshwar Pujara, wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha, all-rounder Stuart Binny, pacers Shardul Thakur and Umesh Yadav are the probable ones flying back home after their long trip to the West Indies.
“As it will be a short tour the Indian team will go with 14 members squad. Dhoni and Bumrah might join the team straight in USA,” a source in the selection committee was quoted saying.
