Gautam Gambhir thanks Shah Rukh Khan and Shaheed Bhagat Singh after being recalled to the Indian team

Indian opening batsman Gautam Gambhir on Tuesday, was recalled to the Test team.

An injury to KL Rahul opened the doors for the left-hander, who was initially ignored by the selectors for the ongoing New Zealand series.

The comeback of the 34 year-old after two years brought tremendous delight to the pro-Gambhir camp. Not just fans but also Kolkata Knight Riders franchisee were elated with Gambhir’s recall.

Bollywood superstar and KKR owner, Shah Rukh Khan wished his captain all the best for the Eden Garden Test, which is also their IPL home ground.

He tweeted : “@GautamGambhir love to you my man. All the best.”

Gauti thanked ‘King Khan’ with his tweet : “Tks @iamsrk bhai. Your wishes are so, so dear to me. More power to u. Loads of love to children especially d rock star AbRam.”

The south-paw also payed his tribute to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, whom he considers his idol and wished he had even half the courage that he had during his lifetime.
