Indian squad for the three-match Test series against New Zealand has been announced.
Under-performing batsmen Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan retained their place in the 15-member cricket squad for the home series.
While Rohit has averaged just 24.05 in 11 Tests in the past two years, Dhawan’s average in the last 12 months is just above 28. Judging by these numbers, one can say that picking these two once again is not the brave decision by the BCCI.
Gautam Gambhir‘s consistent performance in Duleep Trophy has been overlooked by the selectors.
Here is how Twitter trolled the BCCI for their selection:

And, yet again Shikhar Dhawan makes it to the test team. Don't even wanna talk about Rohit Sharma. #INDvNZ

No outrage by Bring Back fans on #IndVsNZ test squad selection. I think this series is unsuccessful already.

I wonder Rohit and Dhavan are in some reservation quota to find their place always in squad, pretty disappointed ! #indvnz

I thought dhoni and kholi are giving more opportunities for dhawan. But it's damm BCCI selection panel was the culprit. #INDvNZ
