Virender Sehwag wishes Lata Mangeshkar and Shaheed Bhagat Singh on their birthday

India’s former opener Virender Sehwag, has once revealed that singing was his mantra for keeping focus while batting.

He famously said, “To keep negative thoughts away, I used to sing a lot of songs while batting. Singing used to keep me from getting distracted. I used to sing the golden songs of Kishore Kumar, Mohammed Rafi and Lata Mangeshkar.”

Today, Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar celebrates her 87th birthday and on this special occasion, Viru could not hold back his emotions and wished the India’s golden voice in his own unique style.

He took on his Twitter handle and tweeted: “Happy Bday @mangeshkarlata ,the Nightingale of India,a voice which has brought joy & happiness to millions around the world

Sehwag also paid tribute to Bhagat Singh on his 109th Birth Anniversary. Shaheed Bhagat Singh was an Indian revolutionary socialist, who was influential in the Indian independence movement.

This is what Sehwag tweeted for him : “Tributes to #ShaheedBhagatSingh ,a revolutionary wid rarest compassion. Legends like him shud be celebrated everyday”
