When Shahid Afridi opened about the player he hates the most

Pakistani star player Shahid Afridi is known for his straight forward answers, whether they are related to his current form, team performance or about his retirement plans.

Afridi never hesitates to give an honest reply and it is due to this reason that the media is always after him. There was a time when he replied in the same way to a fan’s question and named the cricketer he hates the most.

In May 2013, Afridi posted on Twitter, asking his fans to engage in a question-answer session. He wrote, “salam everyone im free for half n hour if some wants to ask any question so im available , ur time starts now.”

The fans were quick to react to their favourite cricketer’s tweet and asked him about the player he hates the most.

Afridi also replied to the tweet : “@SAfridiOfficial shahid u still not friends with gambhir ?”

The conflict between Shahid Afridi and Gautam Gambhir happened during India-Pakistan ODI series in 2006. The all-rounger was bowling at the Indian opener and everything was going fine until Gambhir ran into Afridi while running between the wickets and things got heated and more than a few words were also exchanged.

Unfortunately, the umpires and the captain had to intervene in between to stop the ugly spat between the two and so that game could continue further. Later, the match referee, Roshan Mahanama imposed a fine of 95% of the match fee for Afridi and 65% of the match fee for Gambhir.
