Bigg Boss 10 contestant Akanksha Sharma, who was evicted from the TV reality show on Sunday, has claimed that Indian dashing all-rounder Yuvraj Singh used to smoke ‘marijuana’.
In an interview after coming out of the house, Akanksha, who was briefly married to Yuvraj’s younger brother Zorawar Singh, said that he told her that ‘he used to smoke pot’.
When enquired regarding her allegations of substance abuse by the cricketer, Yuvraj’s former sister-in-law told Bollywoodlife, “As far as substance abuse goes, it was there in their family too. Whatever I did was with them. I smoked pot with my husband. Yuvraj also told me he smoked pot. It is a very common thing in the industry.”
Speaking about her troubled marriage, she told the entertainment website, “Firstly, it wasn’t a marriage in the right sense. I was married only in paper. There was nothing in that relationship. I haven’t lied and I am pretty sure of whatever I have said. Nothing happened in my marriage. I am not backing off from what I said. Saying that (the) matter is sub-judice is the safest thing to do.”
Shabnam Singh, mother of Yuvraj, was also accused by Akanksha of ill-treatment. Akanksha blamed her indirectly as the reason for the marriage not working out, saying, “My mother-in-law now needs to say something to justify herself.”
These accusations could come as a big blow for Yuvraj as he is currently looking to make a comeback into the Indian national team. The left-hander recently scored his career best score of 260 runs during a Ranji trophy match against Baroda.
