Video : When Virender Sehwag felt that Indian batsmen should ‘Drown and Die’

Former Indian opening batsman Virender Sehwag, since retirement has been entertaining the cricket fans through the social media platform and his commentary.

Recently, Sehwag made his comeback to commentary box in the second Test match between India and New Zealand at Eden Gardens, Kolkata after ICC T20 World Cup 2016. Listening to his commentary is equally as entertaining as watching the match when Sehwag is in the commentary box.

On Day 2 of the match, Viru had a short session with his commentary teammates and anchor Jatin Sapru. There was a funny banter among the commentary team regarding Sehwag’s incorrect predictions.

Sehwag spoke about some dressing room stories during his playing days and said that there is no use of being sad after getting out and instead the batsman should try to cheerful.

Sapru then tried quizzing him about India’s defensive approach against the visiting team. Viru quickly noticed the situation that no Indian batsman had hit a single six and that too especially against a spinner like Jeetan Patel.

As per Sehwag, it was quite a fluffy approach and the batsmen should go ‘drown and die’ instead of batting.

Though, the former aggressive batsman wasn’t serious at that moment and was just poking fun at Murali Vijay who was then batting at the crease.
