Former England captain Michael Vaughan jokingly accuses Indian spinners of tampering the ball against England

Team India is on the driving seat in the ongoing Test match against England being played at Vishakhapatnam.

After scoring a lots of runs in the first test at Rajkot, the visiting has struggled with the bat for the first time in the series and have been bowled out for 255 runs in their first innings.

After seeing English batsman struggle against slow bowlers yet again, the former England captain Michael Vaughan took to his Twitter handle and tweeted :

“I tell you what England will have to suck a lot of mints to get out of the this hole .. #INDvENG”

By this tweet, Vaughan indirectly took a dig at the ongoing furore involving South African captain Faf du Plesis, who was found guilty of breaching ICC’s code of conduct when he used a lolly (mint candy) to extract extra shine on the ball in the second Test against Australia.

Vaughan also joked that Indian spinners might have been using ‘Humbugs’ (a candy) to get the ball turn so much.

“Quite Clearly India must have been putting plenty of Humbugs on the ball today to make it Spin so much,” Vaughan wrote on his twitter handle.

He has also accused the English team of going back to the Bangladesh mode.

Speaking to BBC, Vaughan said, “They have gone back to the Bangladesh mode of bowling too many short balls, too many full tosses.”

He also doubted England spinners’ ability to get the best out of the pitch in Vizag by stating, “In these conditions, under pressure, can the spinners hold a length?”

“They did it in Rajkot, but there was a massive score on the board and they weren’t under pressure,” added. India have learned they can put England’s spinners under more pressure.” added Vaughan.

However, the former English skipper praised the batting of Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes, who put in a vital partnership when England were in deep trouble.
