Virender Sehwag trolls Joe Root with hilarious pun-liner and people loved it!

On day 1 of the first Test being played between India and England at Rajkot, former Indian opening batsman Virender Sehwag produced yet another gem in the commentary box.

Since the day of his debut in the commentary field, the Nawab of Najafgarh has revolutionised Hindi commentary and today, he again showed off his talent, starting with a bang as Joe Root came in to bat.

After the dismissal of English skipper Alastair Cook, Joe Root, who is one of the modern day greats came to the crease.

Fully aware of the damage he can cause across formats, Sehwag said : “Root ko Jad se ukhadna hoga. nahi to wo hamein pareshan karega.” (Indian bowlers needed to dismiss him at the earliest).

Once Root got his eyes set, the former Delhi batsman exclaimed quite hilariously, “Is Root ki sabi liney vyast hain”, this line means that Root is unavailable for the moment.

Later, Root proved Sehwag right with his predictions, as he went on to score 124 runs off 180 balls before being caught and bowled by Umesh Yadav.
