On the 3rd day of third Test match played between India and England at Mohali, Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin moved in through the defence of England’s left-handed batsman Ben Stokes.
Trying to defend a good length ball that pitched on middle, Stokes just got squared up and missed the ball which crashed into his pads. Firstly, the umpire gave the all-rounder not out but skipper Virat Kohli decided to go for a review.
After the use of DRS, umpire’s decision of Not-Out was overturned and the 25-year-old was sent back to the dressing room.
Also, Kohli responded to Stokes’ celebration on day two by giving the all-rounder a silent send-off.
