Mumbai batsman Sagar Mishra does a Yuvraj Singh, hits six sixes in an over

Mumbai cricketer Sagar Mishra, who was playing for the Western Railways, on Wednesday (November 30) smashed six sixes in an over during Times Shield ‘B’ Division match against RCF.

In the last 11 deliveries that he faced, the 23 year-old, converted nine of them into maximums.

After playing a steady knock of 51 runs off 35 balls, Mishra decimated off-spinner Tushar Kumare with the record number of boundaries in one over, boosting his team’s run rate in his blistering innings of 91, according to a report in the Times of India.

“I was promoted to No. 4 because their left-arm spinner was bowling well and I was sent to up the scoring rate,” Mishra was quoted as saying by The Times of India after the match.

“It’s a dream come true. I remember Yuvraj Singh’s six sixes in an over on TV nine years back. Never did I imagine that I’d do something similar,” Mishra told The Times of India.

Mishra has now became only the third Indian, after Ravi Shastri and Yuvraj Singh, to score six sixes in an over. And interestingly, Mishra is also a left-handed batsman.
