On Monday, India’s young batsman Karun Nair, who was just playing his 3rd Test match recorded a feat for which Indian fans have been waiting since very long.
Nair smashed the English bowlers all over the park in the 5th Test played at Chepauk, Chennai during his mammoth innings of 303 not-out. He also became the second Indian batsman to register a triple century in Tests after former opener Virender Sehwag.
On this occasion, the ‘Nawab of Twitter’- Sehwag, welcomed Nair to the exclusive 300-club with a heartfelt message, saying that he was very lonely there for the last 12 years and eight months.
Here is Virender Sehwag’s tweet for Karun Nair:
“Yay ! Welcome to the 300 club @karun126. It was very lonely here for the last 12 years 8 months. Wish you the very best Karun.Maza aa gaya!”

Sehwag, who scored two triple centuries in Test matches, was probably the first one to wish Nair on his brilliant achievement.
