7.) 115* off 66 balls against Australia in Jaipur

Virat Kohli fastest ODI 100

India vs Australia ODI series 2013 was flooded with runs; no target was safe in the series even 350+ was easily chased and it all started from Virat’s 115 off 66 balls in Jaipur.

Australia’s every batsman scored 50+ to put 359 on board and India started pretty good while chasing. When Dhawan departed after scoring 95 runs, Virat came and he started bashing Australian bowlers like they were some club cricketers. It was the fastest century by an Indian batsman, Kohli took only 52 balls to complete a ton.

8.) 141 against Australia in Adelaide

2014’s Border Gavaskar trophy in Australia was one of the heated and challenging series for Virat. He also impressed Australian media and former players with his aggression and performances, “It is rare to see such aggression in return to Australians” they all said.

His 141 in 175 balls is the ‘trend-setting’ inning for many reasons. After MS Dhoni’s shocking retirement from Test cricket, Virat had a challenge of leading the team unexpectedly but he took it as an opportunity to make a statement. Though India lost the test match his approach towards the match on the final day was appreciated all over.
