Indian fans lash out at BCCI for omission of Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina for South Africa ODI series

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on Saturday, announced the 17-member squad for the six-match ODI series against South Africa in South Africa.

A week before the announcement was made, veteran cricketer Suresh Raina had cleared the much talked ‘Yo-Yo’ test โ€“ the mandatory test all national cricketers are expected to clear.

Amidst this backdrop, it was being speculated that Raina could well make his comeback to the national side again. Moreover, it was his failure in these tests in his previous attempts that had seen him miss out on being a part of several home series this season.

Along with him, another veteran big name, Yuvraj Singh, was also in contention to be named in the Indian squad.

However, much to their disappointment, both Yuvraj and Raina failed to make a comeback to the team.

Fans being fans didn’t lap this up well. And reacted like never before on Twitter.

Here is how they reacted to Yuvraj and Raina’s omission:
