England’s star all-rounder Ben Stokes was all set to enjoy his away time after the conclusion of the Test series against New Zealand and was travelling to London from his home in Cumbria to watch the English Rugby team play France in Six Nations, but his bag got stolen at the King’s Cross Station.

Stokes took to Twitter to inform about his bag full of clothes and belongings getting stolen, expressing his anger against the thieves. The English Test skipper wrote, “To who ever stole my bag at King’s Cross train station. I hope my clothes are too big for you ya absolute ******.”

Notably, Stokes had a very busy winter season where he first guided England to their 2022 T20 World Cup triumph and then led the Test side to whitewash over Pakistan later that year. The 31-year-old all-rounder recently also helped the English side register a draw (1-1) on their New Zealand tour.

Stokes will next fly to India to compete in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 for MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He was roped in by the Chennai-based franchise for Rs 16.25 crores in the player’s auction.

After IPL also lie the Ashes, which will be the biggest challenge for Stokes this summer. Having not won the Ashes since 2015, England would definitely eye to regain the trophy from their arch-rivals Australia as the current English team looks very strong under the leadership of Stokes and coach Brendon McCullum.

Ever since the arrival of Stokes as Test skipper and McCullum as the head coach, England has dominated the Test arena. The duo made them win 10 of the last 12 games by opting for a new ‘bazball’ approach in the longest format of the game. However, England failed to reach the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023 Final, and the summit clash of the marquee event will be played between India and Australia.
