The 2023 edition of The Hundred is all set to begin on August 01, with defending champions Trent Rockets taking on Southern Brave in the tournament opener.

Recently, the players’ draft for the third edition of the 100-ball competition took place, where stars from around the globe were roped in by all the franchises.

Pakistan’s fast bowler Shaheen Afridi, who recently led Lahore Qalandars to the PSL title, was picked up by Welsh Fire alongside his national teammate Haris Rauf. However, the likes of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan didn’t find any buyers. Similarly, Bangladesh star Shakib Al Hasan, West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard and Australian duo of Marcus Stoinis and Adam Zampa were not picked either.
