On Day 4 of the first Test between, Sarfaraz Khan scripted a memorable moment by scoring his maiden Test century. His remarkable achievement came during India’s second innings, with fans witnessing not only his impeccable batting performance but also a light-hearted moment involving Indian cricket stars Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. The two veterans were seen reacting hilariously to Sarfaraz’s over-the-top celebration, adding an extra layer of entertainment to an already thrilling day of cricket.

In the 57th over of India’s second innings, when Tim Southee was bowling to Sarfaraz, he played a superb backfoot punch through cover, sending the ball racing to the boundary for a well-timed four. This shot not only added to India’s mounting total but also marked Sarfaraz’s century, a long-awaited personal milestone. Bursting with emotion, Sarfaraz removed his helmet, roared to the skies, and swung his bat in celebration, acknowledging the dressing room, the cheering crowd, and the heavens above.

At the close of the second session on Day 4, India had amassed a total of 438 runs for the loss of six wickets, securing an 82-run lead after being trailed by 356 runs earlier in the match. This significant turnaround was spearheaded by Sarfaraz and Rishabh Pant, whose powerful partnership played a crucial role in India’s recovery.

Sarfaraz’s knock of 150 runs off 195 balls, studded with 18 fours and three sixes, was a defining performance. His aggressive yet calculated approach helped India not only claw back into the match but also take control. On the other end, wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh provided valuable support with his rapid 99 off 105 balls, which included nine boundaries and five towering sixes.
