Indian women team’s fast bowler Shikha Pandey, who was a part of the group that reached the finals in the recently concluded T20 World Cup in Australia, got felicitated by Air Marshal MGS Menon for her performance in the ICC tournament.

The right-armer had taken seven wickets in the showpiece event and helped her side to reach the main stage in the T20 World Cup for the first time. However, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side faced a defeat in the finals by Australia.

Apart from playing cricket, Shikha is also a flying officer in the Indian Air Force.

In reply, India were bowled out for 99 in 19.1 overs. Aussie spinner Jess Jonassen picked 3 wickets for 19 while pacer Megan Schutt scalped 4 for 18.
