Career recap of retiring Pakistan pacer Sohail Tanvir

Sohail Tanvir debuted for Pakistan in 2007 against India.

Tanvir featured in 62 ODIs, 57 T20Is, and two Test matches for his nation.

He claimed a total of 130 wickets across formats.

The Pakistan pacer was the Purple Cap winner in the inaugural edition of IPL.

His record of 6/14 in the Indian league lasted for over a decade.

Tanvir was also part of Pakistan’s 2009 T20 World Cup-winning squad.

The left-armer has bowled  two maidens in a T20I inning.

The Pakistan veteran’s best figures in T20I, ODI and Test are: 3/12, 5/48 and 3/83.

Tanvir announced his retirement from international cricket on March 7, 2023.

He made his final appearance in international cricket against West Indies.
