Top 5 bowlers with worst economy rate in IPL

Much has been talked about the best bowling performances in IPL. Here’s a list of five bowlers who bowled at least 100 overs and have the worst economy rates in the tournament.

5) Shardul Thakur (KKR)

Shardul Thakur has an economy rate of 9.13 in IPL.

Before joining Kolkata Knight Riders, Shardul also played for four different franchise in the league.

4) Andre Russell (KKR)

Representing the Kolkata-based side for almost ten years, Andre Russell’s economy rate in the cash-rich league is 9.26.

Russell was also part of Dellhi Daredevils before KKR roped him in.

3) Sam Curran (PBKS)

Sam Curran has an economy of 9.48 in IPL.

Other than Punjab Kings, Curran has also played for Chennai Super Kings in the league.

2) Chris Jordan (MI)

Joining Mumbai Indians as a replacement of Jofra Archer, Chris Jordan’s economy rate of 9.52 is the second worst.

Jordan played for six teams before becoming part of the MI squad.

1) Marcus Stoinis (LSG)

Lucknow Super Giants’ star all-rounder, Marcus Stoinis has been leaking runs at a rate of 9.58 in IPL.

Stoinis has represented three franchise other than LSG in his IPL career so far.
