5 Indian-origin cricketers who featured in the Ashes since 2000
The Ashes series played between England and Australia is one of the most prestigious Test cricket battles and takes place in every two years.
Although the Ashes is played between England and Australia, five Indian-origin players have also featured in the series since 2000.

Veteran England left-arm spinner Monty Panesar is of Indian origin and has even represented the English side in a few Ashes Tests.
Panesar picked up 14 wickets against Australia in his Test career.
2) Nasser Hussain
Born in Madras (Chennai), former English skipper Nasser Hussain was also an Indian-origin player to represent England in the Ashes.
Nasser’s highest score of 207 in the longest format was against Australia in the Ashes series only.
3) Ravi Bopara
Ravi Bopara was another English player with roots in India and represented England in the Ashes.
The veteran all-rounder played four Ashes games and scored 105 runs.

Stuart Clark is the only Indian-origin Australian cricketer to feature in the Ashes series.
The former Aussie pacer bagged 30 wickets in 14 Ashes Tests.

Mark Ramprakash represented England in 24 Ashes games, and he also had his roots in India.
Ramprakash scored 933 runs overall in the prestigious Ashes event.
