Malaysia’s Syazrul Idrus etched his name into the history books on Wednesday (July 26).

Syazrul became the first men’s cricketer to claim seven wickets in a T20I match

With the iconic feat, the Malaysian cricketer surpassed the best bowling figures in men’s T20Is.

1) Syazrul Idrus (Malaysia) - 7/8 

Peter Aho recorded the second-best bowling figures in men’s T20I during a match against Sierra Leone in 2021.

2) Peter Aho (Nigeria) - 6/5

Deepak Chahar is the only full-member nation player in the top three. His exceptional bowling performance came against Bangladesh in 2019.

Namibia's JJ Smit registered the figures 6/10 vs Uganda in 2022, which is fifth best in men's T20Is.
