From Virat Kohli to MS Dhoni: Indian players with most appearances in ICC Finals

In pursuit of the prestigious Test mace India will take on Australia in the WTC 2023 Final, starting June 7.

It will be sixth time players like  Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be playing in an ICC Final.

Let’s have a look at Indian players with most appearances in ICC Finals:

Harbhajan Singh – 4

Harbhajan played in the finals of 2003 and 2011 ODI World Cups. He also appeared in 2002 Champions Trophy and 2007 T20 World Cup final.

Virender Sehwag – 4

Like Bhajji, Sehwag also played 4 ICC finals; 2002 Champions Trophy followed by 2003 ODI World Cup, 2007 T20 and  2011 ODI World Cup.

Sachin Tendulkar – 4

Legendary Tendulkar played in the finals of 2000 and 2002 Champions Trophy. He appeared in 2003 and 2011 ODI World Cup finals as well.

MS Dhoni – 5

MS Dhoni played in the finals of 2007 and 2014 T20 World Cups, 2011 ODI World Cup, the 2013 and 2017 Champions Trophy.

Ravindra Jadeja – 5

Jadeja has played in the finals of 2014 T20 World Cup, 2013 and 2017 Champions Trophy. He appeared in 2021 WTC final as well. The 2023 WTC final will  be his fifth appearance.

Ravichandran Ashwin – 6

2023 WTC final will be Ashwin’s 6th appearance. He has played in the finals of 2011 ODI World Cup, 2013 Champions Trophy, 2014 T20 World Cup, 2017 Champions Trophy and 2021 WTC.

Rohit Sharma – 6

Current captain Rohit will be entering in his 6th ICC final in the WTC 2023 mega event. He has earlier appeared in the finals of 2007 and 2014 T20 World Cups, 2013 and  2017 Champions Trophy and 2021 WTC.

Virat Kohli – 6

Kohli played in the 2011 ODI World Cup final. He then appeared in the finals of 2013 Champions Trophy, 2014 T20 World Cup, 2017 Champions Trophy and 2021 WTC. The summit clash against Australia  will be his 6th ICC final.

Yuvraj Singh – 7

Yuvraj has played in the finals of 2000, 2002 and 2017 Champions Trophy, 2003 and 2011 ODI World Cups, and the 2007  & 2014 T20 World Cups.
