Interesting facts about  Ruturaj Gaikwad

Ruturaj Gaikwad was born on January 31, 1997,  in Pune, India.

Gaikwad began his cricket journey after joining Dilip Vangsarkar Academy at the age of 13.

His father Dashrath Gaikwad was a DRDO employee while mother Sawita Gaikwad is a teacher in a municipality school.

Gaikwad made his first-class debut in 2016 at the age of 19 by representing Maharashtra.

In 2018, he was named in India's team for the 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.

In Indian domestic cricket structure Gaikwad played for India A, India B, India Blue, Maharashtra and  India U-23.

He owns the record for the most centuries by any player in Vijay Hazare Trophy history – 12.

Gaikwad likes to play Golf when he is off the field.

He is the only batter to hit seven sixes in an over (one off a no-ball) across all formats.
