Rohit Sharma turns superhero for a digital comic series ‘Hyper Tygers’

Indian star batsman, Rohit Sharma, will be seen in a new fictional environmental superhero team called, ‘Hyper Tygers’.

Rohit shared that he considers the comic series, launched in collaboration with Graphic India, UK-based ISM Komix and Cornerstone Sport, as a bridge to reach out to his fans.

”I’ve been a big fan of the work Graphic India has been doing in the country to create new Indian superheroes. The idea to collaborate with them to launch India’s first cricket based superhero comic made perfect sense,” said Rohit.

”Hyper Tygers is an action-packed adventure around a futuristic game of cricket, unlike anything we have today. The story also serves as a larger allegory to protect our planet and its endangered wildlife, which is one of the great global challenges of our time,” he added.

As per the report from oneindia.com, Rohit said, ”If you care about your future and the future of your kids, then now is the time to take action and go green – I have always believed this. This opportunity immediately appealed to me. It marries my concerns with my passion, and the fit was unbeatable.”

The digital comic series e-books are available on Daily Hunt, priced at Rs 10 with the new chapter releasing every week.

He shared the poster of the comic series on his Twitter last year,
