Virat’s uncle’s family on his father’s side still resides at the ancestral home and his aunt has been mayor of the town previously. His father attended Gulabchand School in the town and moved to Delhi in search of better opportunities and lifestyles.

His uncle Girish Kohli doesn’t remember when he talked to Virat last time but it definitely has been a long time. Since Virat has started playing International cricket, he has talked to his uncle and aunt just a couple of times.

Earlier, Kohli had said that his father was the reason he had developed a keen interest in cricket. “My father was my biggest support. He was the one who drove me to practice every day. I miss his presence sometimes.”

Virat’s aunt Asha Kohli told that Virat has shifted from Delhi to Gurugram as he was having a problem in traveling to the airport and for some other works too. It has been nearly five months since he has shifted to Gurugram.
