In the 2nd ODI between India and England played at the Barabati Stadium, Cuttack, a ball-boy hit English all-rounder Ben Stokes in the face after unintentionally throwing the ball towards him. The Englishman was taken by surprise by the throw, following which he stared at the ball-boy before continuing on with the match.
This incident happened in the 47th over of Indian innings when Hardik Pandya pulled off Jake Ball to the deep square leg boundary where Stokes was fielding. Though the all-rounder could not stop the ball from reaching the fence for a SIX but he balanced himself perfectly after nearly jumping on the boundary boards. It was then when a returned throw by the ball-boy hit on Stokes’ face. He wasn’t pleased with the ball boy’s throw, and it was quite evident from the looks.
