Chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav has replaced senior pro Amit Mishra in the Indian squad for the one-off Test against Bangladesh which begins in Hyderabad on Thursday.
Mishra sustained the injury while fielding in the last T20I against England on February 1 and has been advised rest by the India medical team.
“Mishra been ruled out of the match after he sustained a knee injury while fielding in the Bengaluru T20I match against England. He has been advised rest and will undergo further medical examination,” a BCCI release said.
Meanwhile, Kuldeep has been handed a maiden call-up after an impressive domestic season with bat and ball for Uttar Pradesh and earlier in the Duleep Trophy.
The 22 year-old has taken 81 wickets at an average of 18.94 in 22 first-class matches.
