IPL 2017 Auction: List of players with highest base price

As many as 799 players have enrolled their names for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 auction scheduled to be held in Bengaluru on February 20.

Out of these 799 players, 160 are capped players from eight countries – leaving out Bangladesh and Pakistan, and 639 from India, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and West Indies.

Well, England players Eoin Morgan, Ben Stokes and Chris Woakes are among the seven players who have listed themselves at the highest base price of INR 2 crore (approx US $298,000).

India pacer Ishant Sharma, Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews, and the Australian fast bowlers Mitchell Johnson and Pat Cummins are the rest of the players in this list.

Meanwhile Trent Boult, Brad Haddin, Nathan Lyon, Jonny Bairstow, Kyle Abbott and Jason Holder are the six players who have been listed in the Rs. 1.5 crore bracket.

Also, franchises have retained a total of 140 players and released 89 ahead of the auction.

List of players for IPL 2017 auction in the two brackets:

INR 2 crore: Ishant Sharma, Ben Stokes, Eoin Morgan, Mitchell Johnson, Angelo Mathews, Chris Woakes, Pat Cummins

INR 1.5 crore: Johnny Bairstow, Trent Boult, Brad Haddin, Nathan Lyon, Kyle Abbott, Jason Holder
