IPL 2017: Mitchell Starc won’t play for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the upcoming season

Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc has pulled out of the upcoming 10th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The news was shared by IPL on their Twitter account: “@RCBTweets, Mitchell Starc discontinue their association ahead of 2017 season”

So now, Starc will take no part in the auction that will take place in Bengaluru. This also means that the franchise can now buy two overseas players instead of one and have an additional INR 5 crore (US$ 746,000 approx.) in their purse, which was Starc’s price.

The speedster is presently in India with the Australian Test team for the four-match series which begins from 23rd February.
