Bangladesh players Shakib al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahaman will miss the initial stages of IPL 2017 which begins at Hyderabad from 5th April.
Shakib and Mustafizur will be travelling with the team to play a series in Sri Lanka. Bangladesh will be playing 2 tests, 3 ODI’s and 2 T20I’s.
The whole Bangladesh squad will leave for Colombo on 27th February and return back on 8th April.
Both Shakib and Mustafizur have been retained by their respective IPL franchises Kolkata Knight Riders and defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The lanky left-arm pacer, who missed the one-off Test played between India and Bangladesh at Hyderabad due to injury, will make a return to will return to the squad for the series in Sri Lanka. He played a crucial part in helping the Sunrisers lifting their maiden IPL title last year.
