The Australian skipper Steve Smith won the toss in the 3rd Test match of the series against India and as expected he didn’t hesitate to bat first in Ranchi.
Meanwhile, during the pre-match talk show ‘Kent Cricket LIVE’ which is broadcasted on Star Sports, there was also conspiracy theory that India has doctored the Ranchi pitch.
The Aussie camp was once again blaming Indian curators for doctoring it. But former cricketers Brett Lee and Sunil Gavaskar, during their live commentary, termed the pitch to be a good one, and basically called it as the ‘typical Indian one’.
Well, during the first session of play, Indian bowlers bowled pretty well and Australia lost their 3 important wickets.
And now, during the lunch break, host Mayanti Langar asked her first question to Aakash Chopra, which was about the nature of the the pitch.
Chopra responded well and said “Life is a pitch”, to the laughter of everyone, including his former teaamate VVS Laxman.
To prove his point, Chopra also tweeted, “Removing three in the first session after losing the toss on a fairly decent pitch….Hope you’re watching @ProfDeano #INDvAUS”
