Cheteshwar Pujara becomes first Indian batsman to face 500+ balls in a Test innings

Star middle-order batsman Cheteshwar Pujara, who has got a very compact technique and an amazing temperament, on Sunday, clearly headed in the right direction.

In the second innings of the 3rd Test against Australia, Pujara became the first Indian to face 500 balls in a Test innings.

At Ranchi, he also broke batting legend Rahul Dravid‘s record of facing the most balls in an innings by an Indian batsman.

Dravid played 495 balls against Pakistan in April,2004 during his mammoth innings of 270 runs.

And, Pujara played 525 balls in his 202 run innings against the Aussies.
