KKR skipper Gautam Gambhir has come up in support of his Delhi teammate and current Indian skipper Virat Kohli after the Australian media compared Kohli with US President Donald Trump.
“Virat Kohli has become the Donald Trump of world sport. Just like President Trump, Kohli decided to blame the media as a means of trying to hide the egg smeared right across his face,” the article reads.
The article published in the ‘Daily Telegraph’ came after Kohli accused Australian players of disrespecting Team India’s physio Patrick Farhart.
Meanwhile, Gautam Gambhir while speaking to CNN News 18, slammed the Australian media and said that the media should stop targeting individuals as cricket is a team game.
“Taking someone individually or blaming someone individually is something which should not work and should not happen. That is something which is very immature from certain individuals as well. Whatever happens on the cricket field let’s just keep it there and not make it personal, or take it personally as well. We should talk more about what has happened in the series. It has been a fabulous series and we should talk more about it,” Gambhir was quoted saying.
