Gujarat Lions’ star all-rounder Dwayne Bravo is the latest to join the list of International players who will miss parts of the upcoming IPL due to injury.
Bravo has been ruled out of early part of the cash-rich league. He sustained an injury to his hamstring during Big Bash League last season which has kept him out of action since then and will not be available for the initial games of the IPL 2017.
“Dwayne Bravo was suffering from hamstring injury from past few months. We are expecting him to join us in India in 1st week of April. He may miss the initial couple of matches,” Gujarat Lions franchise owner Keshav Bansal was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.
Bravo’s absence will hurt Gujarat Lions prospective as he was one of their main weapons with the ball in their debut season last year.
