Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif couldn’t stop himself from trolling the Bangladeshi bowler after he saw the recent false celebration of Subhasis Roy.
During the second day of the first Test between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, the bizarre celebration went down as an embarrassing moment for the bowler as the ball crossed the boundary line.
When Subhasis ran in to bowl his third over on the day, Sri Lanka batsman Kusal Mendis top edged the ball towards the fine leg, where Mustafizur Rahman managed to hold on the catch but ended up stepping over the boundary ropes.
Subhasis was unable to notice that Mustafizur had crossed the boundary ropes and therefore started off with his celebrations thinking that he had the dismissed the batsman.
Later, the umpire and the non-striker batsman Niroshan Dickwella informed him that it was actually a six.
Well, Mohammad Kaif also found the incident to be very funny like many others on the social media. He posted a picture on his Twitter handle of the incident where the bowler can be seen celebrating with the umpire signalling six in the backdrop.
In his tweet, Kaif wrote, “Lol ! Bangladesh continue to entertain. Umpire signals 6, bowler celebrating. Caught beyond the boundary.”
