Team India’s former skipper MS Dhoni would not feature in the stands for the crucial 3rd Test match against Australia, scheduled to be played in his hometown, Ranchi. PN Singh, the manager of the Jharkhand cricket team, revealed this disheartening news.
The four-Test series between India and Australian teams is evenly poised at 1-1 and the third Test begins in Ranchi on 16th March.
“Our team arrived in Delhi and Dhoni is flying in a day later. We have a knockout match against Vidarbha on 15th and a semifinal on 17th. We are confident of reaching the semifinal in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and hence Dhoni’s presence at the Ranchi stadium is “unlikely”, PN Singh said from Ranchi.
The 32 year-old paid a surprise visit to the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) stadium in Ranchi on Thursday. Obviously not being a captain of the Indian team, he kept himself away from giving any kind of suggestion to the pitch curator.
