Shivnarine Chanderpaul and his son score fifties in the same first-class match

On Sunday, the former West Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul and his son Tagenarine Chanderpaul scored fifties in the same first-class match.

The 20 year-old Tagenarine, opened the innings for Guyana while his father Shivnarine, who is 42 years old now came to bat at third down.

Both of them added 38 runs for the fourth wicket in 12.2 overs.

Tagernarine’s batting style is quite similar to as of his father Shivnarine. He also hammers the bail into the ground to mark his guard before batting.

Well, in the match, Tagenarine scored 58 runs with the strike rate of 42.96 while Shivnarine scored 57 runs to take the Guayana total to 262 runs against Jamaica.
