Stats Alert: Cheteshwar Pujara Breaks Gautam Gambhir’s 8-Year Old Record

On day 2 of the fourth and final Test match being played between India and Australia in Ranchi, Team India’s middle-order batsman Cheteshwar Pujara added yet another feather to his already illustrious cap.

Pujara has now broken former opener Gautam Gambhir‘s Test record of most runs scored in a season to add another milestone in his kitty.

Pujara went onto bring up his 15th half-century, before he was dismissed for 57 by Nathan Lyon.

Well, the Saurashtra batsman has scored 1316 runs till now in this season, surpassing Gambhir’s 8 years old record.
