Indian skipper Virat Kohli has been ruled out of the remainder of the 3rd Test against Australia being played in Ranchi.

It is a big blow to Team India considering that Kohli won’t be able to bat in any of the innings of the series deciding Test.

Well, Virat suffered a shoulder injury, when he dived to save a certain boundary at long-on in the post lunch session on Day 1. When Aussie batsman Peter Handscomb played a shot on Ravindra Jadeja‘s ball slightly wide off mid-on, Kohli ran after the ball.

He then dived near the boundary ropes in order to pull the ball back in. However, he landed on his shoulder and in the process got injured.

The MRI scan on his right shoulder should be a tear which is likely to rule him out of the fourth and final test of the series as well, which is scheduled in Dharmasala .
