Yuvraj Singh and Mohammad Kaif have come out in support of the flamboyant Indian skipper Virat Kohli, after the Australian media has compared Kohli to US President Donald Trump.
The stylish southpaw Yuvraj Singh, who is also a close friend of Virat Kohli is the latest to voice his opinion on the matter. Yuvraj recently said that comparing Kohli with Trump is actually a compliment for the Indian captain.
“It’s a big compliment for Virat if Aussie media is comparing him with Trump. It means he is the best,” Yuvraj was quoted as saying by India Today on the sidelines of an event in Delhi.
The southpaw also added that the final Test will be a closely fought affair with the series locked at 1-1. “The series between India and Australia has been really good. Dharamsala should be a good series decider and even if the series is tied, we are in for a great Test,” Yuvraj added.
Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif has also come out with arguably the most fitting reply to the Australian media over their remarks on Kohli.
Kaif, in his fitting response said that the Aussie media has probably missed out on a correct reference. They ended up comparing Kohli with the wrong Donald. He feels the time is not far when they will compare him with the Donald that he deserves, Sir Donald Bradman.
Kaif tweeted, “They compared him with the wrong Donald. Shortly some of them. will compare him with the great Donald Bradman. #AskKaif”.
