Only a few days are left for the 10th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to start and the glamorous ‘Extraaa Innings T20‘ will hit the television sets, just like it does every year.
However, on the famous pre and post match talk show, this time around, the viewers might get upset a bit as both previous years hosts Pallavi Sharda and Rochelle Rao won’t be a part of the show due to their prior commitments.
The fans will see Archana Vijaya as the only female host this season alongside Gaurav Kapur and Samir Kochhar.
Archana Vijay confirmed the news on her Twitter handle through a series of tweets and wrote,
“Yes I will be hosting the IPL this year – answer to the question that I’m most asked in my life ! Haha Glad to be back with an ace team ! There has been a format change, and hence I’m very humbled that Sony TV chose me as the only female anchor this year, it also means double the work ! Haha I would also like to thank everyone for the unwavering support in life and social media! Ok…..Now I sound like I’ve won an award! Here’s to a thrilling season 10 of the IPL! See ya there !”
Archana was also quoted saying: “I’ll miss my two other female anchors but it’ll be nice to have the focus on me though the work will be double. Bring it on, I’m game!”
