Skipper Virat Kohli is back in action for Royal Challengers Bangalore, who is playing their fourth match of IPL 2017 against Mumbai Indians.
However, RCB fans were left shocked and dazed when they saw Shane Watson had been dropped from the playing XI whereas Chris Gayle, who was left out in the last game aginst Kings XI Punjab has been included in the team.
Virat Kohli prioritizes Chris Gayle as their best batsman in the team and before the game said that he will always be their top contender for the home games which will be played at Chinnaswamy stadium, Bangalore. Gayle has 3464 runs in 94 matches and all five of his hundreds have come for RCB.
However, Watson himself did not set IPL 2017 on fire with only 43 runs in three matches.
Kohli is known to be in awe of Gayle and the two are great friends. So it was no surprise when the first thing Kohli did was to get Gayle back into the line-up at the expense of Watson.
