IPL 2017: BCCI felicitates Indian legends; Rahul Dravid misses the ceremony

Former India cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Virender Sehwag and VVS Laxman, who represented the golden age of Indian batting across the 1990s and the first decade of the new millennium, came together at the opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League’s 10th edition in Hyderabad on April 5. when they were honoured by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

The Fab 4 of Indian cricket were honoured by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials ahead of the opening match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Meanwhile, former Indian captain and the coach of Delhi Daredevils, Rahul Dravid did not attend the function. It is speculated that Dravid could have been delayed because of the travel time from New Delhi to Hyderabad.

Flights are running late in Delhi because of thunderstorms in the Indian capital and the stadium is two hours away from the Hyderabad airport.
