Mumbai Indians (MI) all-rounders Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya created a unique record in their victory against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2017.
During the first innings, Krunal dismissed KKR’s wicketkeeper-batsman Robin Uthappa, who went for a slog sweep and finished into the hands of Hardik.
Krunal also teamed up with Hardik to get rid of Yusuf Pathan. This time Hardik was stationed at long leg and took a brilliant catch of another aggressive batsman.
In doing so, Hardik and Krunal, who are the first brother-pair to be part of the same IPL team, achieved a distinct feat. It was the first instance when a player took a catch off his brother’s bowling in the IPL.
