Former India skipper MS Dhoni found support in the form of Shane Warne who has backed Dhoni to come good after some poor outings in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL).
On Tuesday, Warne took to micro-blogging site Twitter to shut the mouths of all the critics who have been taking heavy digs at Dhoni.
In his tweet, Shane Warne stated that there is absolutely no need for someone of Dhoni’s stature and calibre to be proving himself. He has done enough in his career to stand at the helm of Indian cricket. Warne added that Dhoni is equally capable in all the three formats of the game.
Adding further, Warne also took a subtle dig at those who believed that Dhoni’s supremacy as a leader has dwindled over the period of time.
The Australian legend wrote, “.@msdhoni does not have to prove anything to anyone, he’s class & a wonderful player in all formats. MS is also a great captain & inspires !”
